What is the Craft app?
Craft lets you write and structure notes and documents, organise tasks and share content. It is available on Mac, iPhone, iPad, Windows and the web, among other platforms. Whether the free plan is enough mainly depends on your document volume, uploaded files and collaboration needs.

Personal spaces and shared Family spaces
Craft says an invited Family member receives a separate account with Plus benefits and personal spaces. These are separate from shared Family spaces. You do not have to collaborate on documents. Content placed in shared spaces is accessible to their authorised members.
Your own Family contract includes management of additional memberships. One invited member place does not include that management or further invitations. This difference matters more to a purchase decision than the Family name alone.
When is Craft Education free?
Craft currently lists enrolled students, faculty and other staff of academic institutions as potentially eligible. Verification normally uses an institution-issued email address. Verification lasts twelve months and must then be renewed. Education is not a complete Plus or Family plan: the help page excludes custom domains, advanced share analytics and team invitations.
Before buying, check the official Education conditions. If your institution's email address will be deactivated, Craft recommends changing your account address beforehand so you can keep accessing your data.
Is the Craft app free?
Yes. Craft offers a free Starter plan. The help page lists up to 1,500 content blocks, 1 GB of storage and 25 MB per file. Paid plans cover larger needs.

How many people can use Craft Family?
Craft says the manager's account can invite up to five additional people. Each invited member receives their own Plus benefits and personal spaces, separate from shared Family spaces.
Is Craft automatically free for every student?
No. Craft must verify your eligibility, normally through the email address of your academic institution. Verification lasts twelve months and then needs renewal. Education has its own feature set.
